24 hrs from Departure USA
Pastor Brent
08/12/2025
2025 Missions Philippines begins in just 24 hours.
I will be leaving Tampa, FL and flying into LAX in California. A brief layover, and then a long flight over the Pacific Ocean to Manila. From Manila I will be landing in Davao more than 35 hours later.
When I land, I will have traveled forward in time 12 hours. The Philippines is +12 EST.
Right now, as I sit here, taking a break from the hundreds of tasks still left to do before I leave, I'm both overwhelmed by those tasks and the almost "surreal" thought of being 1/2 way around in just 4 days. Exciting. Thrilling. Intimidating...
The Philippines is as far away from the USA as a man can get. The landscape, language, and culture can be a real challenge. But the people are amazing: simple and humble. Davao is the largest city in Mindanao, the southern part of the Philippines.
I'm pretty sure this Blog will never be read (I chuckle). But this past few days have not been so easy. So many people putting demands on my time. Few seem to realize the level of stress . I've really needed help, and I am fighting the feelings of frustration. I just keep taking those frustrations to the Lord. I know He's got me. The Holy Spirit is leading me into the next stage. I've learned not to expect so much from people. I'll remember to bless others in the future.
And those who do read this will be the faithful ones who have been there for me all along, encouraging and motivating me as you pray for me. To you: thank you. I appreciate you more than you know.
What happens next only the Lord truly knows. Well, I have some idea. I've seen bits and pieces of the plan. Each day, I pray out more and more of the details of what I'm called to do.
First step: rest up. The 35 hours flight is no easy task. In my previous trip, I arrived and was almost instantly sick. The flight is hard on the body. Jet lag is real. I've done everything in the natural to remedy that, and I'm covered by Psalm 91. I'll be fasting from Today (It's Tuesday) until I arrive Friday. This, of course, is primarily for Spiritual reasons, but also for physical reasons. Flying
is hard on the digest track. The lack of sleep and sitting upright can be a problem. I'm also hydrating and taking electrolytes. Well, enough said about that .
Second step: After I rest a few days, I'll go to Immigration in Davao City and file for my extension. Make sure all my technical issues are resolved, Mobile phone, e-mails, etc.
And finally, I will start reaching out to my contacts and continue building a ministry itinerary. And then it's out of the comfort of the modern city and into the province.
I will be traveling in the Davao Regions over the next two months, including Davao del Sur, Davao del Norte, and Davao Oriental. These places are familiar to me now. I'll visit as many churches as I can, meet as many pastors and believers as I can. And I'll spend my weekdays sharing the Gospel in public places. I've already seen in my spirit some of the miracles that will take place. I'll keep everyone updated.

Blog: Thoughts for the Day
My spiritual senses are on high alert. I'm being attacked from every angle. I feel my emotions demanding my attention. I feel my business demanding my attention. I hear the voice of my financial needs demanding me to respond. I hear the voices of so many urgent demands, and I just keep reminding myself. . . Stay the course. The Apostle Paul was confronted by the Prophet Agabus and by his students in the 21st chapter of Acts. He was warned of the perils that lay ahead, and despite all their concerns he answered in the most amazing statement: "Then Paul answered, What mean ye to weep and to break mine heart? for I am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus. And when he would not be persuaded, we ceased, saying, the will of the Lord be done. (vs. 13 and 14)"
So many people have challenged the logic in the commission I've received to go to the regions of Mindanao, but I know that I've been called there in this time. Here in the USA, our ministry is flourishing more than it has in years. It would be so easy to stay and continue building the work in the USA, but I know the reason it flourishes is due to my obedience to the calling.
Honestly, It is very intimidating, leaving what is comfortable and pressing into the unknown, to a place that doesn't understand my language and my culture, and giving my will over to the Lord to use me to bring the Word to these wonderful people. But I keep myself constantly aware of the Greater One living on the inside of me. He is always with me. He will never fail me. I'm taking this trip with Him. Great things lie ahead.

God is in You

I’ve had the opportunity over the past few weeks to watch part of a series on Netflix called “The Bible”. The series is very exciting as it highlights the Old Testament heroes of the Faith. Last night I also had the opportunity to watch another Christian movie, which will remain un-named. The movie was horrible, not in terms of acting or producing, but in terms of content. What struck me was the stark contrast between the lifestyles of those Old Testament heroes and our modern day ideas of the Christian walk.
Let me summarize the movie plot. Our leading lady is a young woman about to attend a secular college for the first time. She is immediately confronted by a professor of Biology who believes in Evolution over Creationism. Her father recognizes that she is bending under pressure and departing from her beliefs. To rescue her, he goes to the college, confronts the professor, and is ultimately challenged to a debate -- a debate which he quickly loses. Saved by a former professor who believes in creationism, the movie ends with a somewhat weak call to the lost, and all ends in “good”. Albeit one thing, the debate of Evolution verses Creationism was never won or lost. Both sides conceded that anything that could not be observed could only be received by faith and no one is offended.
Now let me summarize the first portion of Episode 6 of The Bible. The Babylonian (Baghdad, Iraq) King, Nebuchadnezzar, conquerors Israel and sacks Jerusalem, because Israel refused to walk in obedience to the Word, Israeli King Zedekiah and his family are captured. King Nebuchadnezzar slaughters the King Zedekiah’s sons in front of his eyes. That was the last thing he would see before they removed his eyes. This same King Nebuchadnezzar also took captive Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. He forced them into slavery and slaughtered every Israelite that refused to bow the knee. And yet, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego would not bow their knee. Willing to die in the furnace rather than bend to pressure, they walked into the fire knowing God would meet them there. In the end was a clear victor. When men and women choose to walk according to their beliefs, faith in action, leads to a manifestation of God’s power and glory.
This is a stark comparison of modern beliefs to them of the Old Testament. I am often left disappointed by the way modern Christians view their position in the kingdom, place in the world, and how they respond under pressure compared to those God has given as examples to us.
Hebrews 11:33-34 says,
“Who through faith subdued kingdoms,
wrought righteousness,
obtained promises,
stopped the mouth of lions,
Quenched the violence of fire,
escaped the edge of the sword,
out of weakness were made strong,
waxed valiant in fight,
turned to flight the armies of the aliens.”
For so long, the church, as a whole, has taught a gospel of compromise and complacency. We've conceded our spiritual position to worldly reason, and we've been beaten by the Prince of the World. Assuming we could outsmart him, we’ve let them drag us down and accepted our defeat. When we should have been walking by faith, we've walked by feelings and human reason. We have failed to demonstrate (rather them expound upon) our faith in the Spirit of power which God intended. We have forgotten the central message of the Gospel, which is, Christ living in you.
Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 2:1-7
“And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.
For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.
And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom,
but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:
But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory…”
Read it again, Believer! Our message should not be with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your belief should not stand in man’s wisdom, but in the Power of God.
I saw a meme some time ago which read, “Never argue with an idiot. He will only drag you down to his level and beat you with experience!” How true it is. Satan is an idiot. Having heaven as his home, and eternity in the presence of God, favored of the Most High, he chose to ascend to the throne of God, and willingly gave up his place. The arrogance and the stupidity of that decision is baffling! (If you just read that and got worried because I called out the devil, thinking I should be afraid of him, my message today is directed at you!) What’s more, so-called scholars who choose to believe (by worldly faith) that life does not come from life, that biology comes from chemistry rather than biology, and demand that the world receives these lies, are also baffling! Why would we, the Chosen of God, the Elect, the adopted sons and daughters of the Most High, stoop to the level of these and debate using their worldly wisdom?
Matthew 11:2-6
“Now when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples,
And said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another?
Jesus answered and said unto them,
Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see:
The blind receive their sight,
and the lame walk,
the lepers are cleansed,
and the deaf hear,
the dead are raised up,
and the poor have the gospel preached to them.
And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.”
When John the Baptist asked for an answer, Jesus didn’t answer with a “yes” or a “no”, he answered with a demonstration of power. Paraphrasing, Jesus said, “John wants an answer? Tell him about the miracles and see if that answers his question.”
And here is our answer to science. We are not subject to your theories and ideas. We are all subject to the Word of God. We are not subject to the laws of mathematics. Five loaves and two fish will, indeed, feed five thousand. We are not subject to death, the grave, nor biology. The dead will raise. Seas will split, blind will see, the skies will fall, donkeys will speak, and the rocks will cry out. We are not going to tell you about it, we are going to demonstrate it to you!
Jesus said, in John 10:37-38
“If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.
But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe,
that the Father is in me,
and I in him.”
And
Luke 5:22-24
“But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, he answering said unto them,
What reason ye in your hearts?
Whether is easier, to say,
Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Rise up and walk?
But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power upon earth to forgive sins,
(he said unto the sick of the palsy,)
I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy couch,
and go into thine house.”
Which is easier? To tell men that their sins are forgive or to heal the sick? This still rings true today. The world is not listening to our message because they have not seen it in demonstration.
When Jesus spoke to his disciples about the great commission, he gave them power, and commanded them to walk in the miraculous. Contrary to modern popular opinions, Jesus did not tell them to merely go and be a “witness” of their faith. He told them go out and woe the world with the power of God.
Matthew 10:1, 7-8
“And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples,
he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out,
and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease. . .
. . . And as ye go, preach, saying,
The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Heal the sick,
cleanse the lepers,
raise the dead,
cast out devils:
freely ye have received, freely give.”
The Old Testament saints walked by faith. They believed and confessed, “God is with us!” Now we, living in a better dispensation, live by the belief that “God is in us!” How much better! How much more powerful. The times we live in are perilous times. The world is changing. Mankind is turning to lies and falling victim to the spirit of the world. We should be excited to send our children into the secular world to make a difference, to change the world, to demonstrate the Gospel.
When I first began in the ministry back in the 1990’s, several ministers told me that this message was too bold, demonstrative, and unyielding to be affective in ministry. Little did they realize what the state of the world would be in 2025 (edit): Muslims in political offices denouncing the principals our nation was built upon, a movement of socialism, sedition, rebellion, monuments to Satan erected in state capitols, abortion on demand, prayer made illegal in school, evolution in our schools, the threat of Jihad within our own nation committed by our own people, mass shootings, and the list goes on. Now, more than ever, we need unconventional ministers, stepping outside the church walls, willing to face fire and the lion’s den. Men and women of faith should be excited about the possibilities rather than afraid of the world. Please join with me and this ministry as we demonstrate the mystery of the Gospel, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

In the Midst of Chaos
"I send you into the midst of chaos; disrupt it!"

On May 31, 2021, I was praying... and suddenly I was in the Spirit. I was moved away, and I saw a great swirling abyss. As it swirled, lives were lost and fell down into the abyss, hundreds of thousands falling down into this massive swirling abyss. It was huge and terrifying, as if the depth of it was bottomless and there was no end to its destructive power. And I was afraid that I would be pulled down into it.
And I saw Christians, many people, representing many churches and denominations, circling along the edges of the abyss trying to escape the pull it had on their lives. They were like mighty ships circling the edges of a massive vortex. Those ships in comparison to the vortex were small and weak.
And I said, “Lord, what is this?” And the Spirit said to me, “Walk into the center of the abyss.” I was afraid, too afraid, to walk out over the abyss, but He said, “Don’t be afraid; follow Me.” I reached for His hand as it appeared He was facing me. From an overwhelming light, He took my hand in his right hand, and my wife took my left hand, and He led us to the center of the abyss, and we walked, as if on air, above the swirling mass below us.
I was afraid to look down into the bottomless swirling hole below, but He said, “Look at it!” I looked, and it was powerful and massive, spinning, and deafening, roaring and turning, too loud to comprehend.
Then the Lord said, “Touch it, son of man. Touch it, Son.”
I was still holding His hand, and as I reached down to touch it, I saw His hand holding my hand, but my hand was like that of a small child small. As I touched it, I was suddenly aware that I was a small child again, sitting in the bath tub in the home where I was raised, watching water go down the drain. Playing with the water, as each time my finger touched the swirling water, the swirl stopped, and as I lifted my finger it began to swirl again. Each time I touched the spinning water, it was disrupted.
Then the Lord said, “I send you into the midst of chaos. Disrupt it.”

Are you a Berean?

Acts 17:11 “Now the Bereans were more noble-minded than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if these teachings were true.” (From the Berean Standard Translation)
Noble-minded: noble character (NIV), fair-minded (NKJV), receptive (NRSV)
What made them ”more noble"?
- They received the word spoken with great eagerness, with readiness of mind.
- They examined the Scriptures:
- everyday
- to see if these teachings were true, to find out if they were so.
Lately more and more, I hear this Scripture quoted by Christians right before they begin their attack on some minister or ministry they’ve found fault with. So often it’s used to qualify their “ministry” of seeking out wolves in sheep’s clothing and tearing down false doctrines.
Over time, I’ve I learned that when I hear someone lead with this Scripture (ironically, as I just did) to almost immediately shut them off. It seems it’s just one way to express pride in their nobility while justifying their false motives. After all, for them it’s so much easier to blow someone else’s candle out than to make their own burn brighter. Harsh, I know, but true.
Yes, we definitely should seek to be like the Bereans! We certainly should seek a noble mindset. It begins by looking at what the Bereans were noted for.
First, they received the word spoken with “eagerness”.
“Ah brother! That’s not what the King James Version says! You’re using one of those false versions!”
First, they received the word spoken with “eagerness”.
“Ah brother! That’s not what the King James Version says! You’re using one of those false versions!”And so it begins. The irony is not lost on us who are true Bereans.
First, a Berean RECEIVES the word with all “readiness of mind. (KJV)” Is that better? If you fail to listen to what is spoken —not merely hearing it — but actually listening to hear it, you’re disqualified as a Berean. Nothing else you hear will have any benefit to you. Stop. Think about it. Ready to move on?
Mark 4: 24 “And he said unto them, Take heed what ye HEAR; with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that HEAR shall more be given.”
Notice what Acts 17:11 doesn’t say? It doesn’t say the Bereans heard the word spoken with a critical, defensive, guarded mindset. They were not looking for error. They were simply hearing what was spoken with eagerness. Why? They weren’t afraid to hear; they were noble minded.
Secondly, a Berean studies the Scriptures DAILY.
Having (past tense) read the Bible from cover to cover does not make you a Berean. I worked with a “pastor” like this once. He read the Bible 30 years ago, and because he was a self described genius, he remembered what he read. And it was impressive, I suppose, but he never realized how stuck he was in the dogma of the past and couldn’t grasp why he was so ineffectual in ministry. Now he spends his days saying, “Oh the man I could have been if only…” (No, I am not talking about anyone reading this or anyone you know, ok?)
The Bible is progressive illumination. I use the word illumination and not revelation for a reason. Revelation speaks of things not yet known (revealed).
But illumination speaks of things revealed but not yet seen. It was always right there in the Word, but we are just now seeing it. That is why we meditate on the word. Daily.
Proverbs 4:18 But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.
Finally, they received the word spoken with readiness of mind and studied the Scriptures daily, to see if what was taught was TRUE.
What were they actually looking for? Lies? No. They were looking for TRUTH. They were looking for truth in everything. Because they understood John 8:32 “… ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
Here is the beauty of always seeking the Truth rather than looking for lies. When you become acquainted with Truth, and you’ve been set free by the knowledge of Truth, lies will be self evident. Have you ever eaten walnuts and suddenly bitten into a bad one, a bad grape, or taken a sip of sour milk?
People who consistently seek out the error in the words in others (or just merely seek to find error in others) are like people who go around drinking sour milk regularly so they can be sure to recognize it when they taste it by accident.
2 Timothy 2:15 “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
How is it that we are to show ourselves approved of God? Study.
Rightly dividing what? The Word of Truth.
The Word of what? Truth.
In summary, we are Bereans when we receive the word with readiness of mind, daily studying the Scriptures, looking for and armed with Truth.
That’s you, Berean!

Proclaim 2025!
There are two types of people in the world. People of faith and people of fear. And I suppose a case could be made for a third type, that is, People of Faith who act like People of Fear.
· People of Faith speak to mountains and move them out of the way. It is recorded in Mark 11:23, Jesus said, “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.”
· People of Fear call the mountains down on themselves. Jesus also said in Luke 23:29-30, “For indeed the days are coming in which they will say, ‘Blessed are the barren, wombs that never bore, and breasts which never nursed!’ Then "'they will say to the mountains, "Fall on us!" and to the hills, "Cover us!"'
Today on social media, on television, in conversations with people everywhere, even in churches, there are so many people making comments that are soaked in defeat and empowered by fear. God did not give us a spirit of fear. He gave us a spirit of Love, power, and a sound mind. Paul writing to Pastor Timothy in 2 Timothy 1:7, Amplified Version, said, “For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control].” God has never failed me... and He never will! The price paid on the cross is enough. His Grace is more than sufficient (2 Corinthians 12:9). My enemies ultimately have the same power over me that they have over God... None!
“Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors and gain an overwhelming victory through Him who loved us [so much that He died for us].” Romans 8:37 AMP
What we say about our future is what we believe about our future. From the abundance of our hearts, our mouths speak. Jesus said in Luke 6:45 NIV, “A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.” What do I believe? I believe the future is bright! I believe and I’m not afraid to say it.
“We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak…2 Corinthians 4:13
It’s time people of faith stop complaining in the desert as the Israelites did, prolonging their suffering and invoking the wrath of God, by proclaiming “evil” reports. (Numbers 13:32, Deuteronomy 9:7) and be mindful of the direction our words are taking us.
James 3: 2-10 “For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body. Behold, we put bits in the horses' mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body. Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth. Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell. For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind: But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God. Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.” Let me give you an example of how I start my day out...
Every morning I wake up, open my eyes, look in the mirror, point at myself and say, “God is in that man!
As I am getting ready for work, I began to profess out loud – to be honest, I shout (and my dogs get all excited and join in! Well? Even they know the sound of faith!) -- “The wealth of the wicked is stored up for the righteous! (Ecclesiastes 2:26). This year is going to be an amazing year! This is going to be the best year of my life! Every day, I grow closer to God! Every day God is bigger in me than the day before! The enemies of God’s people have been wounded, and they are bleeding out. They will fall at my right hand! (Psalm 91:7). Every wicked scheme will be exposed. No man will stand before me all the days of my life! As God was with Moses, as He was with Joshua, as He was with Jesus, so He IS WITH ME! (Joshua 1:5) God has commanded me (Joshua 1:9) to fear not, because He is with me! Covid 19 cannot touch me! (Psalm 91:10). Poverty and lack are defeated in my life! (Luke 4:18). And Christ in me -- that is my confident expectation of God’s manifest presence in my life! (Colossians 1:27). With Christ, I am seated far above all that is happening around me. (Ephesians 1:21 - 2:6) There is nothing impossible that I can’t believe for (Mark 9:23) and there is nothing I cannot accomplish in Christ! (Philippians 4:19)” Oh, People of Faith, what did God say? He said...
“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness." -- Isaiah 41:10
Align your beliefs to the Word of God and align your tongue with your beliefs in 2021. This will be the best year of your life!

Prophesy, Son of Man, Prophesy!
“Son of man, can these bones live?”
Rev. Brent Taber
Feb 11, 2019
7 min Read
I woke up today with this in my spirit. As I was sleeping, the Holy Spirit planted this word into my heart, and I believe He wants me to share it with you.
While I was sleeping, I heard these words and began to wake up. "Son, do you want to be justified when you speak and overcome the enemies of your life? Then always speak My Word over your life. Every Word I speak is true; and every man is a liar. Let My Word reign over your circumstances and when you speak, replace your opinions with the Word I've given you. Then you will be justified in what you say, even as I am, and you will overcome when you are judged and proved right when you make judgments about things in this natural world. Let My Word change the circumstances of your life."
Last night, I was thinking about the different "branches of my life". I was unhappy that there were so many areas of my life that were dead. Though I had good roots in the Word of God and had God's wisdom, I had failed to produce fruit in those areas in my life, and those branches seemed dead. I was talking these problems out loud to my wife, and telling her the steps in the natural I intended to take to overcome those failures. (Isn’t it aggravating how we always have the tendency to fall back to solving our problems with our own good works?) I told her I felt overwhelmed and commented that it was a daunting task to take control and overcome.
Thank God for his marvelous grace. He was ready to show me how to bring life back to those old dead branches of my life. He said, “Prophesy, Son of Man, Prophesy! Speak my Word over your life. Speak to those branches, and tell them to live!”
In Ezekiel 37, God carries Ezekiel in the spirit and sets him a valley full of dead dry bones, and says, “Son of man, can these bones live?” It must have seemed daunting to Ezekiel. Could it be possible that they could live again? Ezekiel gives a wise answer, “Oh Lord God, thou knowest.” And God said, “Prophesy upon these bones, and say, O ye dry bones, hear the Word of the Lord.” And as Ezekiel began to speak God’s Word over those bones, there was a shaking and rattling as the bones came together. Again, God said, “Prophesy to the wind, son of man…” and life came to those dry dead bones. And those once dead bones, raised up on their feel, an exceeding great army!
You and I have been given authority to speak life into the valleys of our life. Speak to those things that stand in your way. Speak to sickness and illness. Speak to financial lack and debt. Speak life into your relationships with family, co-workers, and friends. Let God’s Word come from your lips, and let life come back into those dead and dying areas.

Absolute Truth

As New York legalizes late-term abortions, the internet is buzzing with comments. I had the opportunity to review a heated discussion between a Pro-life proponent and an abortion advocate. And maybe the labels are wrong. Maybe, to be more accurate, this was a discussion between a Christian and an atheist about the value of life. The Christian argued that propositional truths have no moral basis and are subject to emotions and personal thoughts. He pointed out that there is no room for propositional truth when you decide to accept God's Word as fact. The atheist argued that God's Word has no value, was subject to interpretation, and since God does not exist, the Word is powerless. As the atheist quickly began to lose this intellectual argument, she turned to personal attacks and left her argument to die.
Here is the reality of Absolute Truth and propositional truth.
Outside of Absolute Truth (I capitalize this for a reason), all decisions are subject to the whims of the individual. We have no baseline, no ground zero, no rule to apply to our decisions, we begin to make decisions based on self-righteous, personal morals (or lack of morals) based on our life experiences (whether good or bad, whether chaos or peaceful resolutions). The argument is, "I support this decision because, what if. . ." These decisions will nearly always lead to false conclusions. A person who lives like this has no moral compass. Without a compass, how will one arrive at a safe destination?
God's Word is Absolute Truth. Whether accepted or not, believed or not, acted upon or rejected, it will always remain Absolute Truth. It is not a book about Jesus. It is Jesus.
John1:1-5 & 14
In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God.
The same was in the beginning with God.
All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. . .
And the Word was made flesh,
and dwelt among us,
(and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,)
full of grace and truth."
He is Absolute Truth. He is the Word.
Many have denied Jesus and in denying Him have denied Absolute Truth. Denying Him doesn't make Him non-existent. Denying the Word doesn't make it not the truth. Denying the Word won't change the truth, and it won't change God. But at the moment a person denies Him, that same Word becomes a stumbling block.
1 Peter 2:6-8 NIV
For in Scripture it says:
“See, I lay a stone in Zion,
a chosen and precious cornerstone,
and the one who trusts in him
will never be put to shame.”
Now to you who believe, this stone is precious. But to those who do not believe,
“The stone the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone,”and,
“A stone that causes people to stumble
and a rock that makes them fall.”
They stumble because they disobey the message—which is also what they were destined for.
We can either chose to believe that God has provided Absolute Truth in His Word, or we can choose to not believe and be put to shame. We can either build the foundations of our lives on the Rock, or we can stumble upon that same Rock. But that Rock will never be moved, and neither will the one who builds his foundations on that Rock.
Matthew 7:24-27 Jesus said
"Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock:
and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.
“But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand:
and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.”
Here is the conclusion. And there is an irony here. That irony is that everything stated here can only be understood by those who have accepted Absolute Truth. So my Christian brother who debated with the Atheist made no difference in her life. But the conclusion that we know, as Christians, is this: when we allow ourselves to make decisions in our lives based on subjective experiences, emotions, and personal thoughts, we are headed to an unhappy resolution. But when we allow God's Word to be the Absolute Truth and the moral compass for our decisions, we are never put to shame. God is God, and His Word is Absolute.

To my brothers and sisters in Christ,
"I've been down for awhile now and lost touch with many of you. Recently I've been encouraged by several people close to me. It's time to move forward again in the calling that God has given me. I appreciate your prayers. A special thank you to those who have been there for me. Please click <Follow> to see my upcoming messages posted here.
I'm back.
Faith, Hope, & Love"
I wrote that blog on Facebook a year ago now (January 18, 2018). A lot has happened since I decided to dedicate myself to the ministry. I had entered into a career field that was outside of the will of God, essentially, finding myself in the belly of a whale. In March, I was severely injured on the job which would eventually lead to me being forced out of that career field. I found myself spit up on the seashore wondering what would happen next. I chose to trust God no matter what the circumstances.
Immediately, God's grace was released in my life. I started training in a new career field. My time was suddenly redeemed, and I was able to devote more time to God's Word and prayer. I notified my pastor of the changes and re-learned a valuable lesson: the burning bush experience of being called into the ministry happens for a reason; never expect others to see the value of God's calling on your life. I prayerfully made the decision to part from the church and start off again in ministry.
In August, I was freed from a career that had limited my ability to fulfill the calling on my life. By November, I started The Word In You Bible Study. Now we are meeting regularly, and I am posting the Message on Facebook Live. Today, I opened this website. I have several more things planned in the near future. So be prepared!
I'm so blessed by those who have supported me and prayed for this ministry. For those who have spoken into my life. There are many, too many to mention. But thank you all!
My friends... We are just getting started. I thank you all for being a part of this world-changing ministry. We are making known the Mystery of the Gospel... Christ in You, the Hope of Glory!

“Life. Life is just a series of deaths and resurrections, always leading us to the knowledge of who we are in Christ. A cosmic millisecond, a chasm in time, that we should recognize our identity so that we can live in eternity as children of God.” -Brent Taber
As I enter a new stage in my life, I can't help but laugh at the oh-so-familiar circumstances I find myself in. As one chapter closes, a new and better one opens. Five decades of life have taught me not to panic. Trust His Word. Trust Him. God has me right where he wants me. I have nothing to worry about. I focus my gaze not on the circumstance, not on the problem, not on the past, future, not even the present. I focus my gaze on Him. He is the only answer. He is the only way. He is the God of miracles.
He is my God, and I belong to Him.
The Power of a Praying Man
At varius vel pharetra vel turpis

My true friends know (and if you didn’t, I failed to represent) that I am a praying man. My enemies should know (because they are soon going to experience) the power of a praying man. Storms (no matter what form they come) are subject to the power of a praying man. Psalm 91 says I’m under the shadow of His wing. And Isaiah 54:17 is His promise of my inherited rights, paid for with and signed in His sinless blood. He said “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.”
